Tsaone Mokone

Tsaone Mokone graduated from the University of Botswana in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Accounting. He went on to complete a number of training programs, amongst them Law Enforcement Executive Development Program, International Banking and Money Laundering Course, Corporate Crime and the Criminal Liability of Corporate entities.
His career began in 1994 as a Fraud Investigator at Serious Crimes Squad in the Botswana Police Service, where he steadily advanced, becoming a senior investigator. In 1997, Mr. Mokone was appointed officer incharge Fraud Investigation Unit. In 2000, he completed an MSc in Investigative Psychology at The University of Liverpool, UK. He was appointed to start Crime Intelligence Bureau as its founding Head in 2002. He guided the unit and put in place Intelligence Manuals and other documents for the unit.
Mr. Mokone is now the Manager, Integrity and Internal Investigations for the Botswana Unified Revenue Service in 2008 where hid responsibilities include developing and implementing a programme of investigative activities related to fraud, abuse and mismanagement. Mr. Mokone graduated with a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Botswana in October 2009. He is married with three children.
